The story

I’ve spent 25 years in holistic and preventative health. Before that, I trained as an engineer — which means I care about measurement, systems, and whether things actually work.

For the last decade, my focus has narrowed to one question: what can we actually do, practically and consistently, to change how we age?

Not the supplements-and-biohacking version. Not the “pay £15,000 for a battery of blood tests” version. The version that works for a parent with a full diary, a mortgage, and twenty minutes between school runs.

I’m 50. I have four children under 12. I ran my own longevity report. Biological age: 42.2. Ageing rate: 0.84 — meaning each year adds less than a year of biological wear. My strengths: high activity, good sleep, low stress, strong social connections. My flags: waist-to-height ratio just over the threshold, inconsistent energy, and minor injury patterns.

The report showed me exactly where to focus. That’s what it does — cuts through noise and gives you the specific levers that matter most for you.

Longevity by Design is the programme I wish had existed when I started this work. It’s not education about longevity — it’s the system that builds your physical capability to actually live it.

What I believe

Holistic health can be evidence-based.

“Holistic” doesn’t mean vague — it means considering the whole picture. But it must still answer the question: does it actually work?

Prevention beats reaction.

Everyone invests in their health eventually. The question is whether you do it proactively — or after the crisis forces your hand.

Genetics are not destiny.

Less than 20% of how you age is determined by your genes. The rest is modifiable — and that’s where the opportunity lives.

The body is the starting point, not the whole story.

Physical capability is the foundation. But health also touches how you think, how you recover, how you relate to stress, and what gives your life structure and purpose. I don’t ignore those dimensions — but I don’t pretend they replace the basics either.

Altituding

Longevity by Design is the foundation layer of Altituding. The name comes from the idea that once you’ve built the physical foundation, your perspective shifts. You gain altitude — literally and figuratively. It starts with the body. Everything else follows. Things that seemed impossible start becoming obvious.
